What are some best practices you have found for running Rev Ops projects since going remote?
Here are some I have found helpful:
1- Use a tool like JIRA, a custom object in SFDC to track, review, update and report out on requests, preferably in SFDC (have a dashboard)
2- If you are using Slack, use a Slack channel to communicate updates daily to teams impacted by changes
3- Have a daily check in via Zoom or in Slack channel at a set time - I like to meet with teams 2-3 times a week in combination with a daily check in during the first 30 minutes (like a daily stand up, but perhaps without kids asking for help for those who have kids at home needing direction on their homeschooling)
4- Do a weekly communication out to the teams, regardless if they have completed projects for the week or not with what was accomplished last week, this week and what is on deck.
5- Make sure to have at least bi-weekly Zoom meetings and a Slack channel set up for those teams to discuss items, including gathering feedback.
6- Dedicate sign off ownership if you have not already to those teams and communicate regularly if there are priority shifts at any time so people have proper expectations.
7- Make sure to take the time to have fun - crack some jokes, share funny stories about home life, call out people for great work done!
Cannot wait to hear from others about things they are doing!
