To link LeanData's routing and scheduling process to the leads/contacts created through your form, you’ll need to add a hidden field to your form following the steps below. This field will store the log id that should eventually be placed on your lead or contact record in Salesforce through your marketing automation. If you have your own process for accomplishing this, please feel free to skip this guide and go with whatever makes sense in the context of your setup.
To do this, first create a Prospect field in Pardot that maps to a field on your lead/contact object. This field can be named anything, but we recommend making sure it has a “Custom Field ID” of “ld_bookit_log_id”. Be sure to make note of the “Custom Field ID” of this newly created field as it will be used in a later step.
Now, in your Pardot form builder, add a field to your form.
This field can have any “Label” value since this field will be hidden.
For “Prospect Field”, select the field you created in the earlier step above
The “Type” should be hidden and the “Data Format” must be “Text”.
