Overview
The LeanData View product gives immediate contextual insights by connecting Leads and Accounts within Salesforce in real time. All of this is done within the same Salesforce records and views you use today. There are three different views that come with this product: Lead view, Contact view, and Account view.
Definitions
- LeanData View
- Salesforce Visualforce Layout which gives an overview into Matched Accounts, Duplicate Leads, Duplicate Contacts, and Related Leads.
- Related Leads
- Lead records in Salesforce which have yet to be converted to an designated Account but have met criteria in which the Leads are potentially from the same company.
Note: for Users to be able to see the LeanData View, they should be given the LeanData View permission set
Lead View: Account Matches, Lead & Contact Duplicates
- Displays complete lists matched accounts (from the same company), duplicate leads and contacts, related leads (from the same company)
- Sits within Lead records in SFDC as a visualforce page
- Allows you to merge duplicate leads, contacts, and accounts
- Allows you to Convert leads into matched account
- Information columns that are displayed within the view are customizable and can be changed.
- For leads that don’t have a matched account, you can create a new account and mass convert Related Leads below (must have the appropriate Salesforce permission to perform this action)
- Columns are customizable at a profile wide level
Lead View Description & Legend
- Duplicates: Easily view duplicate leads and contacts at a glance to understand existing activity on your leads.
- Merge with duplicate leads
- View complete list of duplicates
- Matched Accounts: Quickly view accounts a lead matches into to get full context. Is this an existing customer or target lead that should be worked by someone else? Does the account have existing opportunities you can leverage to expand the relationship?
- Note: The Account that has been tagged as the "Reporting Matched Account" according to your Tagging settings will have the icon next to it. A gray icon will appear if a User manually updated the Reporting Matched Account Field

- View complete list of matched accounts
- Related Leads: Easily identify leads from the same company
Preview Related Leads: View related leads together with a consolidated view of activity history – for leads that don’t have a matched account, there is an option to create a new account and mass convert Related Leads below (must have the appropriate Salesforce permission to perform this action)
Related Leads
The View’s related leads display shows:
- Related leads from the matched account (same company)
- For leads that don’t have a matched account, you can create a new account and mass convert Related Leads below (must have the appropriate Salesforce permission to perform this action)
- Displayed list of Related Leads
- View complete list of Related Leads and Convert to New Accounts
Related Leads Description & Legend
- Choose your Related Leads to convert
- Choose an Owner, Contact Role (optional), and Converted Lead Status upon conversion / Account creation
- Choose to create (or not create) an opportunity under account upon conversion
- Choose to receive (or not receive) an email upon the successful conversion of your Related Leads
- Your system admin can edit these columns to show the Lead info that’s most relevant to you
- Create a new account upon conversion of your Related Leads
Contact View: Contact & Lead Duplicates
- Displays duplicate leads and contacts
- Allows you to merge duplicate contacts
Contact View Description & Legend
- Duplicates: Easily view duplicate leads and contacts at a glance
- Merge with duplicate contacts

Account View: Lead Matches, Account Duplicates
- Displays Matched Leads
- Displays Duplicate Accounts
- Allows you to Merge Duplicate Contacts
- Allows you to individually or Mass Convert Leads under associated Matched Accounts.

- Duplicates: Easily view duplicate accounts at a glance
- Merge with duplicate accounts
- View complete list of duplicates
- Matched Leads: Quickly view leads matched to this account to get full context. Does this account have matched leads you can leverage to expand the relationship? Who else on the sales team is calling into your leads?
- Convert associated lead into this account
- View complete list of matched leads
Mass Convert: Easily mass convert matched leads under an account.
Mass Convert
- Allows you to Mass convert matched leads under a matched account.
Mass Convert Description & Legend
- Select the desired leads to convert. You can also Select All Leads
- Select the Lead owner that will become the contact owner once converted (an owner must be selected if the current lead owner is a queue or inactive user)
- Select a Contact Role (optional)
- Select the Converted Status to be used on the converted lead/contact
- Choose to create (or not create) an opportunity under the account upon conversion and whether to send a notification email upon conversion
- Click the Mass Convert button to easily convert all your selected leads
FAQs
How do I change the column displayed?
- Click on the Lead, Contact, or Account settings link in the upper right hand corner of the LeanData View.
- Access these column settings within the LeanData Dashboard.
Who can change the column settings?
- Only LeanData Admins or Managers with the correct permission set can change the columns displayed.
