How Do I Change the LeanData Integration User? Follow
The LeanData Integration User is the user of record for all actions performed in LeanData. The integration user is usually the same as the token user, or API user. The token user, or API user, is required to create a communication channel between LeanData and Salesforce. The token user is usually the same as the LeanData Integration User. Any integration user must have the LeanData Custom Objects Permission Set.
Please Note: The LeanData Integration User is not necessarily the User who authorized the Salesforce token. To Authorize a Salesforce Token, please see the article: LeanData Admin - Token Authorization Guide.
Example: Steve is the Salesforce admin for GW Developing, a software company. The salesforce user that setup LeanData and is listed as the integration user, has left the company. In order to avoid issues with having an integration user tied to a Salesforce user no longer with the company, Steve decides to change the integration user to the Director of Marketing. Steve will log in to Salesforce as the director of marketing and restart the LeanData scheduler job.
To Change the LeanData Integration User
- Log into Salesforce with the new user to be assigned as LeanData Integration user and navigate to the LeanData App.
- From the side menu, navigate to Admin > Settings.
- On the General tab, in the LeanData Job Scheduler section, click the Restart Scheduler button. Since you are logged in as the new integration user this user will now be the integration user of record.
