Salesforce Releases - LeanData Upgrade Freeze FAQ Follow
Why do you have an Upgrade Freeze?
Salesforce pushes out a major release 3 times per year, typically in February, June, and October. Not all Salesforce servers are updated at the same time, but server updates for these releases are staggered over several weeks. Once LeanData's Packaging Instance is upgraded to the new Salesforce release, LeanData is only able to release new code for Salesforce Orgs that have also been upgraded to the latest Salesforce release. During these periods, LeanData implements an upgrade freeze to minimize introducing issues while Salesforce versions may be incompatible.
Is it possible to make an exception to upgrade my LeanData Application during the Upgrade Freeze?
If your instance of Salesforce has been upgraded to the latest version, then we will be able to make an exception and upgrade your LeanData Application.
If your Salesforce instance hasn’t yet been upgraded to Salesforce's latest release, we may be able to make an exception for Sandbox Orgs, but generally will not be upgrading Production Orgs until they have received Salesforce's latest release. Please contact your LeanData Customer Success Manager to discuss this further.
How do I check if my Salesforce Organization has received Salesforce's latest release?
1. Look up your Salesforce Instance. This will look something like “NA49”. In many cases, this be found in the URL. Otherwise, you can go to Salesforce Setup → Company Information, then see the value by "Instance"
2. After finding your Instance, look up your Instance at https://status.salesforce.com/products/Sales_Cloud
3. Click on the Maintenance Tab to find your upgrade date
