Overview
The Single-Use Links feature allows users to generate links that can only be used to book one meeting. Once a meeting is booked using a single-use link, the link becomes invalid for any future bookings. This functionality leverages existing links, enabling users to create single-use versions without needing to generate new links from scratch.
Single-use links retain all the properties of the original link, including expiration dates and meeting type configurations. Any changes made to the original link will automatically apply to its single-use versions.
Example:
Julio is an Account Executive with Nexora Systems. When prospects have more technical requirements, he uses a Booking Link to allow his prospects to book meetings with himself and a member of the Sales Engineering team. However, some prospects have re-used these links to book unauthorized follow-up meetings with the Sales Engineer. Julio now sends single-use links for these meetings to prevent unauthorized follow-ups.
Key Functionality
- A meeting can only be booked once with a single-use link.
- Once a meeting is booked, the link becomes invalid for additional bookings.
- Single-use links allow meeting rescheduling if needed.
Accessing Single-Use Links
Wherever users can copy links to send to prospects, there is an option to select a single-use version of that link using a dropdown menu next to the Copy Link button.
This includes:
- My Links Page (BookIt Links > My Links)
- Links Library (BookIt Links > My Links > Links Library)
- User Links Wizard (Standard Links Wizard only, not Managed Links Wizard)
- Link Management Page (BookIt Links > Link Management > All Links)
- View Links Modal in Admin Managed View (BookIt Links > Link Management > Managed Links > View Links)
- Chrome Extension
Clicking the Copy Single-Use Link button will generate a new single-use link and copy it to your clipboard.
Managing Single-Use Links
Single-use links will automatically inherit all properties of the original link. Changes to the core link will be reflected in the single-use link, including:
- Meeting type updates
- Expiration dates
For example:
- If the meeting type of a link is changed after a single-use link is generated, the new meeting type will apply to the single-use link as well.
- If a single-use link expires, it will no longer be usable, whether due to a booked meeting or the expiration date.
Tracking Single-Use Link Usage
You can track and manage single-use link activity in the Meeting Logs section of LeanData BookIt.
Navigate to: BookIt > BookIt Links > Meeting Logs
Single Use Links will be indicated in the Link Type Column
- By default, single-use links will be displayed. You can hide them by using the Hide Single-Use Links toggle at the top.
