Routing
Match and route at lightning speed with Real Time Routing! This expands upon and replaces Live Routing by instantly tagging, qualifying, matching and routing individually inserted and/or updated records. Records that are not processed in this manner (such as bulk routing jobs) will automatically fall back to batch processing.
Wondering what you’ll need to do? Nothing! We’ve got it covered. This all happens in the background without requiring any configuration or extra muscle work from you. >>Learn More.
Real-Time Routing will be automatically enabled for customers in the coming weeks, with the exception of classified orgs. Please reach out to Support if you'd like to enable it sooner or if you have any questions!
Please Note: When Real-Time Routing runs on a record, the “Modified By” User will display as the User who initiated routing (via creation or update), not the integration user.
Accelerate your sales process and improve marketing efficiency by automating Contact Role assignments! With Advanced Routing, you can now auto-assign Contact Roles to Contacts on matched Opportunities in both Contact and Opportunity Router. Within the new Contact Roles page, you can define specific conditions to determine how Contact Roles are assigned.
For example, if your organization considers Director-level contacts as “Economic Buyers” during deals, you can specify a rule to auto-assign the Economic Buyer role to any matched or routed Contact with a title of Director.
Use Cases:
- Automate Contact Role Assignments: Assign a Contact Role based on campaign membership, title, and/or other Contact characteristics.
- Identify the Most Relevant Contact(s) on an Opportunity: Assign a “Primary” Contact Role to easily determine the most relevant outreach to conduct.
- Associate Marketing Efforts to Revenue: Contact Roles tie contacts and opportunities together in Salesforce Campaign Influence reports. Visualize and track how your campaigns influence opportunities by assigning Contact Roles to matched contacts.
Get started by going to the Contact Roles Page under Routing > Contact or Opportunity Router > Advanced Settings > Contact Roles!
Important Note: The Assign a Contact Role node requires a C2O or a O2C Match node prior to usage. If multiple Contact Role Rules are set up, the matched or routed Contact will be assigned to the first Contact Role where the specified condition is met.
