LeanData Admin - Adding the LeanData Remote Site Setting

What is LeanData Remote Site?

LeanData Remote Site is an additive feature that enables recently released LeanData features and background health monitoring. Installing the Remote Site is part of the normal onboarding process for new LeanData customers. 

Choosing to not install the Remote Site will not affect your current usage of your LeanData. 

However, we strongly encourage you to install the Remote Site as it enables: 

• A range of recently released features and future features that provide more capabilities and a better experience for you. 
• Proactive support and assistance from LeanData’s continuous and programmatic health checks.

What Does LeanData Remote Site Enable?

LeanData Remote Site does not impact Matching & Routing. BookIt customers are also not impacted. 

Installing the Remote Site enables the following features: 

• Routing Templates
  • You will be able to access and view the Templates within FlowBuilder.
• Select API-based Integrations
  • You will be able to authorize the following integrations in a more streamlined manner. 
    • Outreach Add to Sequence and Create Task, Salesloft Rhythm, Gong Add to Flow, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Please Note: 
    • If you have previously authorized the integrations listed above, your usage will not be impacted.
    • However, on versions 1.611 and later, you will not be able to create a new authorization for the integrations above without the Remote Site. 
• Background health checks 
  • LeanData can monitor the functioning of your LeanData instance which includes: 
    • The status of the LeanData Integration User. 
    • Background operations of LeanData CC Scheduler Apex Job and Scheduler Monitor Apex Job.
  • Even without the Remote Site, you will still receive Monitoring Alerts which can be configured in LeanData > Admin > Settings > Notifications. 

To add the LeanData Remote Site Setting:

1. Login to Salesforce.
2. Click Setup in the upper right hand corner.
3. Search for remote in the Quick Find / Search ...  toolbar on the side.
4. Select Remote Site Settings under Security.
5. Select New Remote Site.
6. Name your Remote Site: leandata_app.
7. Add the following url: https://app.leandata.com.
8. Check the Active Box
9. Click Save.
