LeanData uses our own Fuzzy Matching Algorithm to find match Accounts for the Lead. LeanData’s Fuzzy Matching Algorithm works by comparing several fields on the Lead vs. fields on Accounts in your Salesforce instance. Fields considered include:

  • Company/Account Name
  • Email Domain
  • Website Domain
  • Address
  • Phone Number.

When there are more than one Matched Accounts found LeanData uses Tie-Breaker to determine the best match possible.

The Matched Account found by the L2A match node within Lead routing flow can vary from the Matched Account populated on the Reporting Matched Account field.

  • The Matched Account found by L2A Match Node during Lead routing uses the filter and Tie-Breaker within the Lead routing flow L2A Match Node.
  • The Reporting Matched Account field value is populated based on the filter and Tie-Breaker under the LeanData Matching product.

The screenshot below is the filter and the Tie-Breaker criteria within the L2A match node within Lead routing flow.

Since the Reporting Matched Account field and the L2A match node has an independent filter and Tie-Breaker set up, the Reporting Matched Account field value populated and the match Account found by Lead routing can be different based on the settings.
