Why are Non-English Characters in Emails Displaying as Question Marks?

In version 1.551, we added a feature to compose your own email messages in the Send Notification Node and the Action Nodes.

If you are using Non-English characters and you are seeing ????? in the email that is sent, there is a simple fix. This issue is known to SFDC and detailed in an article here.

There is a setting on the record of the Integration user that will allow LeanData to send non-English characters in emails. This only needs to be set for the user that is used as the integration user between you and LeanData.

To fix this issue:

1. Locate the SFDC user record for the Integration User.
2. Open the Language & Time settings.
3. Change the Email Encoding to UTF-8.
4. Save.

Please Note: This only needs to be done for the Integration user.
