Overview

The LeanData Integration User is the designated Salesforce user through which most LeanData actions, like Lead Routing, Tagging, and other tasks are executed. Creating a dedicated user for this purpose is recommended in order to simplify auditing and troubleshooting. While most processes run under this user, actions triggered by Real-Time Routing, One-Time Tagging Jobs, or the Routing Scheduler will reflect the initiating user instead.

FAQs

Who is the LeanData Integration user?

The LeanData Integration User is the Salesforce User under which most LeanData actions are performed within Salesforce. This User is essential for LeanData’s operation within your LeanData environment and serves as the "User of Record" for most processes executed by LeanData, such as Lead Routing, Tagging, and other actions (such as field updates) on records. By associating these actions with a specific user, you are easily able to audit and troubleshoot LeanData operations.

Is it recommended to create a unique Salesforce user specifically for LeanData?

Yes, we recommend creating a dedicated Salesforce user to simplify troubleshooting and know what specific actions were performed by LeanData.

What permissions does the LeanData Integration User need?

It is recommended that the LeanData Integration User have a System Administrator profile with the "Modify All" permission. If this is not a viable option, you can use the listed necessary permissions in our LeanData Integration User Salesforce Permissions guide. Additionally, the LeanData User will always need to be given the LeanData Custom Object Full Access permission set.

How can I change the LeanData Integration User?

To change the LeanData User, you can do so from the LeanData > Admin > Settings page and by restarting the LeanData Job Scheduler while logged in as the intended User. We also have a dedicated guide for changing the user: How Do I Change the LeanData Integration User? As the guide states, the LeanData Integration User must have the "Modify All" permission set, even if temporarily, to change the user successfully.

What actions will not be performed by the LeanData Integration User?

In Real-Time Routing, One-Time Tagging Jobs, and Routing Scheduler Jobs, the User initiating the action or job will be the "User of Record", not the LeanData Integration User.
